COSTA ALMERIA FAMILY HOLIDAYS - Costa Almeria is an ideal family holiday destination with plenty to keep kids of all ages amused. There are over 100 fine white sandy beaches to choose from many of them offer a wide range of water sports with tuition for beginners. If your not one for relaxing on the beach there is plenty to explore from the Alcazaba which is the largest remaining Moorish Castle in Spain.In August every year Almeria is home to the Virgin of the Seas Festival, 10 days and nights of music, flamenco dancing, bullfights, fairground rides, exhibitions and full on partying.
Just north of the town of Almeria in the Tabernas Desert is the Mini Hollywood Theme Park which is built around and old-spaghetti-western film set. It is famous for being the set for many films including A Fistful of Dollars, The Magnificent Seven; and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and it is also where Clint Eastwood started his film career. There are twice daily simulated Bank Robery shows complete with gun fights during the summer and an excellent range of themed facilities to enjoy. The Park has been maintained in its original condition complete with authentic working Saloon. Vera offers a fantasitc facility for families, Vera Aquapark is located directly on the beachfront with a different selection of water rides including Kamakazi, Twisting slides, Adventure River, the Black Hole and wave pool and lake, there are also mini slides for smaller children, on site there is a cafeteria and bar also sun loungers and air mattresses so you can relax while to kids splash about.
